Rookie 6 Yankees Practice {3}

practice is always a fun time!

The sisters need constant entertainment...the boys practicing baseball just isn't enough.

For the last practice of the season, we reserved a tunnel at Dan's Sports Zone.
It was a fun coincidence that the 1st and last practices were both at the batting cages.

Our last game is tomorrow!
Go Yankees!

Colin's Kindergarten Korner: teacher appriciation

Teacher Appreciation Week was the week of May 7 and
each day of the week was assigned a different "thank you task/project"

Colin really loves his teacher this year!
He had a fun time shopping for her gifts and putting them together!

Monday: create a home-made thank you card

Tuesday: flower day!
Colin picked out (fake) pink flowers "because they will never die and she can always have them to look at", a jar "that she can use every year for whatever she wants to put inside", and glitter ABC stickers "that she can use next year for the new kinder kids"

Friday: magazine day
We added a few fun summer touches to her magazine gift.
(not pictured: peach gummy rings for Thursday's snack day.
we added them to the ribbon around the magazine and towel)

Thank you, Ms. H for EVERYTHING you have done for Colin this year!
You have truly made his Kindergarten experience at SSE a memorable one!
We will miss you next year!!!!

Colin's Kindergarten Korner: spring field trip

Colin's Spring field trip was to Katy Park for a day of fun!
Pete was able to attend and he said (even though it was HOT), they had a great time!

During "free time" the boys played catch with the Frisbee and baseballs.

After free time, the kids rotationed playing with the hoola hoops, drew with chalk and took turns on the tennis courts with the large sports/exercise balls.

I L.O.V.E. this picture of Colin and his BFF!

lunch time!

The "park play day" was a fun way to get the kids out of the building on a STAAR testing day and for one last "hooray" to get them through the end of the year.

Rookie 6 Yankees update {4}

April 17
vs. Braves
This was the fist game Ava missed. She stayed home with Nana and Papa because it was 7:00 PM game and she didn't like it so well at the last night game.
Colin wanted his sister there but I told him we could tell her all about the game when we got home and that we could show her the pictures too. :)

April 21
vs. Redsox
long sleeves and jackets?...yes please!
we had a cold front come in the night before this game and it was windy and cold.
overall, the kids played well.
Colin hit a single, a triple and played 1st base and pitcher.

April 28
vs. Redsox
This was a FUN FUN FUN game!
Colin played catcher and hit 2 HOMERUNS!!!!!!
{I have them on video and will try to upload them soon.}

May 1
