Elf on the Shelf 2012

George came back to the Willetts house a few days after Thanksgiving.
He surprised the kids with a little something from the North Pole.

11.28.12

Colin walked by the fireplace and did a double-take and said "HEY! George is back!".

Ava was a little confused. We all had to remind her who George was and why he was in our fireplace. :)

Ava found the treats first!

After they are the Santa Hat Brownies and blew some bubbles, we reread the Elf on the Shelf story together. On each page, Ava would find George and yell and point to where he was.
Colin enjoyed the story, as always and started remembering the mischievous antics from last year.

11.29.12
George hang out in this ornament vase for 2 days because Colin accidentally touched him when he was trying to get his stickers. We watched the movie Elf over dinner and Colin was comparing George to the elves in the North Pole. We also watched Elf on the Shelf movie another day and the kids were even more in love with George afterwards. :)

11.30.12
Santa delivered some Magic Elf Dust for the kids to sprinkle on George.
They both NEEDED TO HAVE a turn so Daddy let them sit on the kitchen island and sprinkle the dust on George. Colin wanted to keep the left overs in case we needed them again. :0/
He asked if Santa came and delivered the letter himself! Of course he did!!!

12.1.12
The dust worked! When George came back on Saturday morning, he came ready for the gender reveal of baby Willetts! Colin asked if I put the balloons on his hands. How could Mommy have done that if I was sleeping all night?!
Later that evening, we were changed the kids' clothes in the living room and Ava got a little wild hair and decided to perform her "booty dance" (naked) for George. We all laughed and Colin told her not to do it again because he was going to tell Santa she was been naughty...that didn't work...she danced again!

12.2.12
I guess George wanted in on the snow fun!
When Colin saw George, he said "Does George watch us all the time or something?!" He read the note and looked in the cup and made a yucky face because of the melted snow. Ava was telling everyone (including her babies) about George playing in the snow!

12.3.12

12.4.12
During breakfast, Ava noticed George hanging with the Christmas cards and yelled to Daddy "Daddy!!! Look!!! George is up there!" and had to go see him.

12.5.12
Colin thought George was so funny for being in the goldfish box!

12.6.12
What a sweet gift from George!

12.7 & 8.12
Ava touched George when she was getting her pony and other toys out of the manger, so he spent 2 nights with Baby Jesus.

12.9.12

12.10.12

12.11.12

12.12.12
Ava thought it was funny that George was using her scissors!
Colin carefully took the scissors from George and cut the little paper into even smaller pieces...for Mommy to clean up...
The kids enjoyed counting down the days until Christmas, thanks to Mr. G!

12.13.12
I guess he is part of the family now. :)
The names were taped there on a different day during one of Colin's crafty moments.

12.14.12
That mischievous little elf!
Last year he wrapped the little tree...I guess he needed to outdo himself.

12.15.12
The boys caught George before he did anything else crazy!

12.16.12
I guess his "jail time" didn't make a difference...
Colin thought this was absolutely hilarious!!!! He changed the stockings out with our underwear!!!!

12.17.12
George has the Willetts' sweet tooth too!

Ava took a picture of George's masterpiece.

12.18.12

12.19.12
Colin and Ava laughed a lot at George's art work. He is such a creative little guy!

12.20.12
When Colin saw the race track he said "Hey, he wrote START and FINISH...they are racing!"

12.21.12

12.22.12

12.23.12
When I saw George with the barbies, I thought...oh Ava will think this is cute. Then I looked at him a second time as an adult.....

12.24.12
George delivered a special gift for the kids to open after dinner on Christmas Eve.

They were so excited!

magical reindeer food

new personalized pajamas

Arthur Christmas movie, popcorn, and Elf (Hersey) Kisses snack

THANKS GEORGE!
At one point in the evening, Colin said "I really like this reindeer! George made a good shirt for me!"

We had a ton of fun with George this year and can't wait to see all of his surprises in the years to come!
