christmas cookies 2012

Baking and decorating Christmas cookies is one of the Raimondo's sisters most favorite holiday traditions. It's been a lot of fun keeping the tradition alive with my own kids!

We started baking at Nonnie's house a few days before Christmas.
Ava was MORE THAN excited to help!

And...this is how Ava's personality is on a daily basis!

She made several dog bones and gingerbread people. We had a lot of stars and Christmas tree too.
A few Texas shapes, hearts, flowers, and not many "Christmas" shapes. :0/

In the middle of cutting cookies, Ava said "I'm so HAPPY!"
What a sweet memory!

More of Ava being herself...Anyone need alittle "snow" in their hair or on their clothes?...

Obviously, mommy forgot to pack her apron.

that's better...

Time to clean up...Have fun with that Aunt Gina!

On Christmas Eve morning, Nonnie and Aunt Gina came over to decorate the dozens of cookies we cut. Papa Chuck was happy to pass the "messy kitchen" baton to Pete.

I don't recommend eating any of Ava's cookies, you might go into a sugar comma.

traditional favorite cookie picture!

Colin wasn't around the other cookie days so he had his own personal cookie decorating date with Mommy. Naturally, he chose red and blue icing!

Again, these should come with a sugar warning.
