Ella Grace:{9 months}

Our 9th month with Ella was a busy one. From the months of October through February, we have something on the calendar just about very weekend. We wouldn't have it any other way!

We went to Aunt Gina's school for their annual "Fall Festival".

Occasionally, we do get to stay in our pjs for a little while...

...or have a family night at home.

Oscar has been showing more interest in the baby...until she starts pulling on his ears and tale!
She'll watch him walk around her and want to chase after him, I'm sure that won't be far behind when she starts crawling.

Ella is trying more and more table foods...

avocado

ice cream...

bananas...

graham crackers...

She's not crawling forward yet but is pulling herself. When she gets her legs going, she will go backwards, then get frustrated. This picture is special because she is wearing her first 9 month outfit!!!! (from Aunt Lindsay)

Kendall has a "Johnny Jumper" for her and she LOVES it. She will stay in there and play for a long time. We pulled ours down from the attic and have it hanging in the only place available...in between our bedroom and bathroom.

Towards the end of the month, she started getting on her hands and knees and rocking.

She got her first pedicure before Halloween. We painted our nails orange to be festive. Family flashback: Ava's first pedicure was an orange one too, a few days before Halloween when she was almost 4 months old!

We tried out the Royal Carriage before Halloween to see if Ella could sit up well. She did great!!!

For Halloween, Nonnie sewed the girls Rapunzel dresses!

Football season has kept us busy! Ella does a great job at the games, she loves being outside and enjoying the wind in her hair :)

For one of football games, we left Ella home with Marissa, Jack and Zoey because Ava had a birthday party to attend right after and we didn't want to take Ella. (it was at Sweet and Sassy). This was the first time Ella was babysat by somebody other than a family member!!! She had a great time playing with her BFF. Marissa said "Ella was a perfect, happy, SMILEY baby!" That's my girl!

Another fun first for Bitty Baby was that she wore a bow IN HER OWN hair!!!

We also had a few days of baseball tournaments with the Katy Tide. We finally got to dress her in the homemade pink baseball outfit.

Up until now, she would only suck her thumb when she was tying to fall asleep. We are hoping it doesn't turn into an "all day" habit like Ava and her binkie.

Ava shared her new butterfly mask with Baby...

Ella loves her siblings and wants to be apart of everything they are doing. We have to keep reminding the big kids to clean up the toys, crayons, rainbow loom bands, etc so the baby doesn't get them.

We created our traditional Thankful Tree!

Ella decided to put her big girl pants on and HOLD HER BOTTLE!!!

We celebrated Veteran's Day and showed some love to Papa Chuck!
Colin asked to take a picture of Papa to school to show his teacher and friends!

Mommy and Ella are matching in our stripes. :)

Daddy is still her favorite...

Bath time is MUCH more enjoyable now that she gets to be in the big tub. She has started "playing" with the water and bubbles. She hits the water and babbles and ties to reach for the toys or cups that are swimming around her.

We celebrated my birthday...which is the same day as her 9 month birthday. :)

The day after Ella turned 9 months old, we went to the doctor for her well check. We saw Ms. Amanda instead of Dr. B. We LOVE her just the same and are blessed to have her as the nurse practitioner. She was more than happy about Ella's progress and "stats"! You would never know she was 8 weeks early and in the NICU for 34 days! God is good, y'all...REALLY GOOD!!!!

16 pounds 7 ounces!!!!!!

Ella also got her ears pierced at this appt!!!!
She looks so cute with those little diamond earrings!

After her appt. we went to our favorite donut place for a late breakfast.

Ella tried and ate her first donut. I don't even think she took a breath...lol

9 month photo shoot (at Nonnie's):
11.26.13

Ella Grace @ 9 months old:
drinking: 5-6 oz every 3 hours
eating: breakfast: fruit, lunch: veggie and rice cereal, dinner: meat and veggie combo and a fruit cup
Because she is starting on table food, her fruit at breakfast is sometimes a soft banana and we give her crackers with her lunch or dinner.
weighs: 16 pounds 7 ounces (22 %) and 25.5 inches tall (2 %)
diapers: Pampers Swaddlers size 2
clothes: 9 months!!! finally :) There are still many 6 month sized outfits that fit her.

She has gone back to sleeping through the night! She midnight/3 AM snack only lasted a couple of weeks. She is down to 2 naps a day...an hour-hour 1/2 after breakfast and a 2 hour nap after lunch. While we were on Thanksgiving break, I was able to get the girls down for their naps at the same time! Wow...what you can accomplish in a couple of hours of complete silence and uninterrupted time...
Ella goes to bed around 7:00 PM because I wake up the girls at 6:30 AM for school. If we keep her up a little later on the weekends, she will still sleep 11-12 hour at night.
