happy new year (a week late...)!!

We hope everybody had a fun and fabulous new year's celebration! WE DID!

The kids and I made a New Year's cake. I found the idea here and ours didn't turn out looking as good but oh well. It was fun! And it tasted good too. :) When I put the cake on the table ready to decorate, Ava started saying "YAY!" and clapping.

I think the kids had more fun eating the M & M's and blowing the noise makers more than decorating the cake. ;0) When I dumped out the M & M's on the table, Ava started shaking in excitement! Like brother, like sister!  

Colin was such a big helper! Not only with decorating the cake but with Ava too! Everything I told her, he would repeat to her. He'd help Ava with the candy and was always checking on her to make sure she was safe. (Ava was standing on the chair next to him).  

 Peace out, 2011!!!!

Daddy was on picture duty and I'd say he did an excellent job!

For New year's Eve, we had a family sleep over at the Peery's house! We had a blast! Holly and James cooked a delicious chicken Parmesan dish and Amy baked an Oreo dessert.

While the little girls were playing in and out of Chloe's room and the boys were playing upstairs, the adults played Loaded Questions, and OH.MY.STARS. was this an awesome game! We laughed until we cried! Everyone MUST play this game with their closest friends....what a GREAT TIME!

We rang in the New Year with noise makers, a little bubbly and some family pics!

(the little girls only lasted until 9:00ish and we celebrated the "New York" New years with the boys).
