WARNING:
lease excuse the picture overload!
We had a fun filled Easter Sunday!
Easter 2012
The Easter bunny was extra generous this year...
Colin woke up first and it took everything in him to wait 5 minutes for me to get Ava awake and downstairs so he could tear into his Easter basket.
And they're OFF!!!!
In the picture below, Ava said "Bubbah, *insert toddler talk here*"...
...then Colin did this to get the egg she found! What a sweet big brother!
There were a few eggs that went unfound until later in the day or even the next morning.
They posed themselves for this picture! SILLY!
The goggles and bunny ears came with their new movies, Despicable Me and Hop.
Easter morning breakfast and our cracking-of-the-eggs tradition.
We spent the rest of the morning enjoying eachother's company and playing with all of our fun Easter Bunny treats.
Before dinner, Colin was getting a little restless so Mommy gave him a job to do...be the family waiter! My sisters and I used to get every body's drink orders before a big family dinner and set the table. Looks like I found another family tradition to pass on. :)
PS: Please excise the glass of wine my 6 year old is holding...it's for his Mommy. :0/
Easter dinner set for Raimondo's + Willetts'.
Nana and Nicki were with us via Skype!
(do you notice the sticky notes on people's plates? lol)
confetti egg time!!!!
the willetts
April 8, 2012
aunt gi-gi and uncle ry
Time for dessert!
red velvet cake, apple pie, jelly beans and peanut butter eggs :)
After the family left and dinner was cleaned up,
we had a few extra minutes left in the day to enjoy the Flores' slip-n-slide!
We went to church on Saturday afternoon so we could have Easter morning at home.
I didn't take any pics but right after church we went on a bluebonnet hunt and took pictures there.
We asked Colin if he knew why we celebrate Easter and he said
"Yes! It's because Jesus loves us and he died for us. And his death was very bad and it hurt him so we didn't have to hurt now. And he is in heaven looking after us."
I just wanted to cry and hug his little neck and say a prayer right there!
He also told us that he knew that because God told him when he was in heaven before he was born. lol...kids!
