Texas Blue Bonnets

The Texas Wildflowers are breathtaking!
It is an "in thing" to take pictures among the flowers and after 4 years, we FINALLY did it!
Well...kind of.
I didn't want to drive an hour or more just for a 20 minutes photo session so we went to Tel Fair and made it happen. However, I think we will take a drive to East Texas next year and get the full blue bonnet effect...maybe with a newborn No I am not pregnant...yet

Ava wasn't too fond of the flowers, grass and bright sun...
so you'll have to please excuse her blankie and 99 cent baby doll in a few of the pics.
...really that was the ONLY baby we had in the car???

We really didn't get a "great" family pic but hey, at least we have one of all 4 of us.

I was a little worried that Colin wouldn't enjoy himself because what BOY wants to take pictures in FLOWERS? But...he LOVED it! In school they learned about the Texas State Flower, so knew all about the blue bonnets.
And the fact that the flower was BLUE (his favorite color), was a plus!
He loved them so much, he started picking them.
Notice the bouquet in his hands in the family pic?

Colin does actually like flowers...he picks them for Ava and I all the time and he notices when there is a new batch on display on the kitchen island.
What a sweet boy!

After our flower adventures, we were all rubbing our eyes and noses...
Happy Spring!
