To celebrate one of our favorite holidays, the 4th of July, we painted "pipe cleaner fireworks" and baked "firework sugar cookies".
Pipe cleaner Fireworks:
Ava liked this more than Colin. I think he thought it was too "babyish". Because especially, all he was doing was stamping. After he finished painting, he made many more "fireworks" with the pipe cleaners and put them in the freezer. Lol! I'm still unsure why he put them in the freezer...whatever makes him happy. :)
Sugar Cookies:
Ava is always a great helper in the kitchen! She is the cutest little chef I've ever seen!
She wants to pour, mix and do EVERYTHING herself.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix and baking powder. In a small bowl, mix together the eggs, oil and vanilla. Add the egg mixture to the cake mixture and stir to combine. Stir in the sprinkles. Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
