As I was answering some e-mails today I noticed (on my Lily-Pie birthday ticker) that Colin's 6th birthday is in 2 months and 1 day! WHAT?! When did my baby boy turn into a 6 year old? Oh how times flies!
Anywho....I had the greatest pleasure of chaperoning Colin's 1st Kindergarten field trip to Dewberry Farms last week. He was so excited, for many reasons. 1. He got to ride on the big yellow school bus 2. This would be his 2nd time going to Dewberry Farms this season and 3. Mommy was coming too! He was a little bummed that I couldn't ride with him on the bus. I explained that I was riding with other Moms and that we'd meet them as they got off the bus. He was ok with that. LOL. On a side note: Ava woke up before we left...Monkey See, Monkey Do...
The other Moms and I thought we'd be a little late because we had to drop off the younger siblings at Pre-School, but we were EARLY! WHOO HOO! When Colin got off the bus, he ran out of line, arms open, yelling "MOMMY!!!", a gave my a HUGE hug! It just melted my heart to see and feel his excitement. We had a BLAST the whole day. However, the wind was CRAZY and it made things a bit chilly. No wind and cold ever stopped a group of 5 and 6 year olds from having fun at Dewberry Farms!
I had such a blast spending the day with My Munchkin and the other kids. It was also nice to chaperon and not LEAD the field trip. Can't wait for the Spring trip!
Thanks for stopping by!
