Summer Camp 2012: baseball camp

Our summer calendar is CRAZY!
Colin is involved in several camps throughout the summer and I am planning on posting on each one. Wish me luck!

First out of the gate is the summer baseball camp hosted by the Cinco Ranch HS coaches and alumni. The other Katy HS coaches were there too!

day 1 was all about "warming up", team building, and catching.

day 2 was centered around throwing and fielding techniques.
each player was timed running to 1st base, around the bases and got to throw to a radar gun.
Colin's times are as follows:
to 1st base: 5.02 seconds
from home to home: 18.34 seconds
pitch speed: 37 MPH
throwing distance: 85 feet
Seriously...who is this kid's dad?
Oh yeah...a baseball minor league pitcher that threw a 93 MPH fastball, left handed!

day 3 started fielding and batting stations

day 4 completed the stations and they had a scrimmage game

At the end of the camp, Colin received a "report card" and a camp t-shirt.
He had a lot of fun playing baseball and spending 4 days with his buddies, Michael, Cooper, Aiden, and Logan.

Watching him in his element was just giving me a lot of hope and created future dreams for my little slugger! He is such a natural born athlete...I can't wait to see what God has in store for him!
