Each week at Colin's school, a student is chosen to be The King (or Queen) of the Jungle.
This means they get to be the line leader and the teacher's assistant for the week.
As King of the Jungle, the kids need to make an "all about me" poster. On the Monday of their week, the get to present it to the class, then it is posted in the Kindergarten hallways for all to see.
On Friday, the family is invited to read a book to the class!
With all of that being said, we participated in all of the above (plus an extra surprise)!
Colin was 100% involved in his "all about me" poster. He chose which photos to use, which color glitter glue and paper to mount them on and he filled in his information page himself.
Thursday night, we surprised Colin with a "King of the Jungle" gift!
He was so surprised to see this on the kitchen island when he got of the bath.
His gift was a crown, a note from Mommy and Daddy, a $5 gift card to Burger King and an Angry Birds King-Pig shirt.

I used a photo from the blue bonnet pics, and added some "stickers".
Why a dolphin, a lion and a stallion?...
dolphin: his class animal
Lion: king of the REAL jungle
stallion: his school mascot
Friday morning was a lot of fun! He chose 4 different books for us to read.
Hop on Pop, Happy Birthday Sponge Bob, a non-fiction book on Dolphins,
and a silly alphabet-Halloween book
I read the Dolphins book and Pete read Hop on Pop.
The class voted that Hop on Pop was their favorite!
Colin has fun showing Ava around his classroom. He showed her his desk, cubby, the butterflies/caterpillars, his crayon box on the wall (positive behavior reinforcement) and many other things.
We are so proud of our little gentleman!
I can't wait to see where God takes us on our adventure with our precious boy!
awww how fun! Colin, you are such a stud! Way to go!
