Every year Colin's school hosts a HUGE fundraiser, the Boosterthon Fun Run. All the money earned goes towards purchasing technology items for the campus. Right now they are working on getting a SMART board in every classroom. If you don't know what they are...OMG...they are AWESOME and I don't know if I could teach without one. Each student needs to ask for pledges from family members or friends and these will earn him/her money for each lap they run during the Fun Run. The donations can be made in a $ amount per lap or a flat donation. We gave a flat donation because last year he ran over 40 laps and we pledged $1 per lap...So, we tried to save money. And, we did...he ran 53 laps this year! Pete and I were both working so Grandma and Papa went out to see him "run".
Here are some action shots they got of him! He is wearing red shorts.
Here's lookin' at you Grandma!

He was dog tired when he came home after school! And he was MIGHTY proud of all the tally marks on the back of his shirt!
