Mother's Day {2013}

For Mother's Day the kids made bouquets of flowers for the Grandmother's with their hand and finger prints. Any time a project involves paint, especially painting their whole hands, the kids get really excited! Ava usually wants to "stamp her hand" a few hundred times...

The kids chose their flower colors. Surprised about the blue and red?...I'm not.

Yes, that is Ella's hand print! We don't have any pictures of the action because Pete and I both had to control Ella and the paint... Let's just say, she didn't care for it too much :0/

Ava wanted to keep painting :)
She made a rainbow for Nonnie.

We went to church for the first time as a family of 5.
I was sick with a head cold so I wasn't thinking about taking pictures of the BIG event, and now I'm sad that I don't have any. At RPC, each Mother's Day they "host" a free mother's day photo event. We DID get our picture made but it is awful...my eyes and nose are red and swollen, the sun was SO bright so everyone is squinting and you can't even see Ella's face because of her binkie and the way Pete was holding her. The whole morning was a memory I will NEVER forget and we have the photo on our refrigerator for ours eyes only. ;0)

For lunch we went to Wendy's to meet up with Pete's parents for Mother's Day. The kids were having a great time, but Mommy was not. :(

Because I felt so horrible, we went home so I could drug myself and take a nap. Around dinner time, I finally woke up and had enough energy to cook dinner, play in the backyard for a bit and go frog hunting!

We didn't see Nonnie on the actuall Mother's Day, because I was sick, we so gave her the "flowers" another day and she LOVED them. :)

Pete bought me Ella's birthstone charm from Waxing Poetic to go along with Colin and Ava's!
I love having all 3 "charms" together and wear my necklace just about everyday!
