Princess Ava turns 3!!! {Birthday Eve & Party Prep}

 

 

 On the eve of Ava's birthday, we went to our favorite nail salon! Nonnie came too to celebrate and TREAT us! So Sweet!

 

Ava LOVES getting new "polish" and sitting in the "pink princess butterfly chair"!

 

 

 

 

We both picked purple polish for her Rapunzel birthday party!

 

Ella stayed home with Aunt Gina but we didn't want her to feel left out. :)

 

We go crazy when we celebrate birthdays around here!...

After nails and lunch, we went to Kendall's and celebrated her her friends. :)

Everyone was so excited to see Ava (they missed her over the summer) and even more excited about the cupcakes!

 

 

 

That evening, Ava helped bake her Birthday Cake!

 

 

I'd say it turned out pretty darn cute!!!!

 

 

We spent the rest of evening/night getting ready for the birthday girl's big day!

 

 

 

 

Everything Rapunzel was ready and waiting for my favorite 3 year old around 2 AM....

and we didn't even host the party at our house this year.

Ella Grace: {a few "firsts"}

I looked back at my to-do blog files and realized that I never put a post together for Ella's first BATH!

I know you were all wondering about it ;)

Well here ya go, folks!

 

Ella's First bath (at home) was on April 1, 2013!

She HATED it and screamed the whole time!!! Would you expect anything less? I didn't.

Ava was in the big tub behind Ella and Daddy, I was video recording and taking pictures and Pete was washing the baby. The bathroom was crowded and very noisy!

 

 

She looks like she's trying to punch me...

 

She still doesn't like the bath but I'm crossing my fingers that that will change once she can sit in the real tub. Ava likes to help bathe her baby...

 

 

On another exciting note, Ella ate her first bowl of rice cereal on July 28 (3 days after turning 5 months old)! She loved it!! If she likes rice cereal, then she is going to LOVE food!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

More times than not, we will feed Ella in her bouncer chair instead of the Bumbo seat. Whatever works, right? I'm excited to try sweet potatoes and bananas next week!
