Easter Sunday 2014

Our Easter Sunday morning started out with Easter baskets and an egg hunt (thanks to the Easter Bunny)!!!!
Ava was the first one to wake up so she got to see her surprises first. I tried to hold her off until the other kids woke up but it didn't work. She DID wait over an hour though. :)

It was hard keeping up with all 3 kids during the Easter egg hunt... so these are the best pictures I got. I did video tape the whole thing, that will be interesting, and dizzy, to watch :)

Colin counted all the eggs and the Easter bunny hid over 130...filled with starburst jelly beans, coins, puzzle pieces, and gummy bunny (fruit) snacks.

Breakfast and Egg Crackn' Time!!!

For the first time ever, Colin's egg CRACKED! Somebody else finally won! :)

Grandma, Papa and Derek came over for lunch and brought some goodies.

After the baby's nap, we went to Nonnie and Papa's house for a mini family reunion/celebration! The WHOLE family was HOME!!! and to stay! Andres got a job at Wilcrest Baptist Church as the Pastor of Missions! They moved home at the beginning of April, and we couldn't be more thrilled!!!

Easter + Sunday Funday at the Raimondo's = a FANTASTIC day!

Papa opened the pool!

Nicki is ALWAYS the first one in the pool every season...this year Colin beat her...by a few minutes!

The boys had a confetti egg WAR! This is always a highlight for Colin but now he has 3 Uncles to fight with!

Colin left a red mark on Andres after this one!

Ry and Andres got Colin back pretty good at the end...they did a sneak attack and when he got scared he fell to the ground and inhaled confetti. Colin got over pretty quick and got them both back!

SO HAPPY NICKI is HOME! Can't wait to spend more Sunday Fundays with her!!!!

Brothers don't shake hands, Brothers HUG!

Nonnie and Papa had Easter baskets and an egg hunt for the kids too!

Nonnie hand made the bunny slippers for both of the girls and PRECIOUS "big and little sister" bunny shirts. We tried getting a picture of them in the shirts but Ella wouldn't cooperate. We will try again soon. :)

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend celebrating God's great gift to us! Colin and Ava talked about Jesus all weekend and really enjoyed celebrating with our families and at church.

He is RISEN!

Easter Traditions 2014

We celebrate holidays to the fullest around here! :)
I love how the kids remember our little traditions from year to year. Colin now says "remember last year when..."  It always warms my Mommy heart! That's why we do ALL of this stuff...to create meaningful, life long, family memories!

First and foremost, we visited the Easter Bunny at the Katy Mills Mall. This year Ava FINALLY liked him and didn't cry or refuse to get near him. Well, she did need Colin to sit in-between them. lol. She even gave him a high five!!! Ella didn't want to get off the Bunny's lap! So CUTE!!!!

Afterwards, we took a little ride on the carousel.

Coloring Easter Eggs....
Last year Ella was still in the NICU so this was her FIRST time to dye eggs!

Thanks to my Mom's fabulous ideas and celebrating my sister's half birthdays, we now bake and decorate a Bunny Cake every year!

The eyes and bow tie are skittles and the ears are outlined in chocolate chips. We usually color shredded coconut for the ears and face but the kids never eat the parts with the coconut. We don't like "wasting" cake, so we went with out the coconut this year. Colin was VERY pleased!
