Easter Traditions 2014

We celebrate holidays to the fullest around here! :)
I love how the kids remember our little traditions from year to year. Colin now says "remember last year when..."  It always warms my Mommy heart! That's why we do ALL of this stuff...to create meaningful, life long, family memories!

First and foremost, we visited the Easter Bunny at the Katy Mills Mall. This year Ava FINALLY liked him and didn't cry or refuse to get near him. Well, she did need Colin to sit in-between them. lol. She even gave him a high five!!! Ella didn't want to get off the Bunny's lap! So CUTE!!!!

Afterwards, we took a little ride on the carousel.

Coloring Easter Eggs....
Last year Ella was still in the NICU so this was her FIRST time to dye eggs!

Thanks to my Mom's fabulous ideas and celebrating my sister's half birthdays, we now bake and decorate a Bunny Cake every year!

The eyes and bow tie are skittles and the ears are outlined in chocolate chips. We usually color shredded coconut for the ears and face but the kids never eat the parts with the coconut. We don't like "wasting" cake, so we went with out the coconut this year. Colin was VERY pleased!

Spring Break 2014: {St. Patrick's Day}

We didn't do much for St. Patty's day this year. I usually have all kinds of crafts and family activities planned, mommy fail! I guess that's what 3 kids + a full time job does to you...

We did buy the all things green and new shirts!

Ella's first ponytail!!!

We went to Nonnie and Papa's for out traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. No, we are not Irish, we just like celebrating holidays!

same bib, same baby, just a year difference!

Ava and I had a green, and pink, polish party after dinner!
