Buffalo Family Vaca 2014 {Grandma Rose turns 90!}

Grandma Rose turned 90 this summer on June 5! I can only imagine the life she has lived and its glorious memories! She has told us countless stories of her childhood, life as a mother of four, wife of many years and how being a grandmother is the sweetest gift yet. We all have so many great memories of spending quality time with Grandma and Grandpa. Pete and I were happy to share those and create more with our kids this summer too!

We had a grand party for Grandma with our family. We reserved a room at a near by Italian restaurant and everything was perfect.

My mom made a picture slide show that made everybody cry! And she bought some decorations (balloons, flowers and photos)

All the kids did SO well!!!! It helped that there was room to play, dance and outlets to keep the games charged. :)

Buffalo Family Vaca 2014 {Fantasy Island}

 

Last time we were in Buffalo, we took a trip to Grande Island, and spent the day at Fantasy Island. It's a small theme park, perfect for my kids' ages! Colin was most excited about the log ride....which ISN'T THERE ANYMORE!!!!

 

We had a lot of fun but did realize that taking Ella anywhere like this is very difficult...

Thanks goodness for Aunt Gina!!!! We probably should have paid her for her "babysitting duties".

He was a little nervous when it started going up that giant hill you see in the background! Once it started gong, he was better and LOVED it!

 

 

He was pouting b/c he couldn't reach the pedal or steering wheel very well.

My sisters and I always loved going to fantasy island as kids. It seemed a lot bigger then... :)

There is also a water park but we didn't mention that to Colin and Ava.
