April was spent at home with my two beautiful angel daughters!

We did A LOT of relaxing and cuddling with our new baby.

Ava got to stay home with me and Ella during my maternity leave and we had a lot of fun!

Ella (finally) met Aunt Holly a few days after she came home.

We went to Chloe's dance recital and Ava LOVED watching the girls dancing. She didn't want to leave, she literally cried because the show was over. So...we didn't get a picture of Ava and Chloe together because she was upset and refused. :(

 

 

Mommy had an afternoon out with Aunt Lindsay! We went to lunch and ran a few errands...it was a fun and much needed few house out of the house (for both of us!).

Painted Grilled Cheeses are a favorite dinner around these parts!

 

Ella got to meet "Aunt Kendall" and all of Ava's friends from school!

 

 

 We went to the Shrine Circus with The Schmitt's but left Ella with Nonnie and Papa. In spite of the downpour of thunder and rain, we had a great time. The boys rode an Elephant!!!! and got tons of autographs from the clowns. Ava rode a pony (of course) and wanted NOTHING to do with the clowns. HA!

 

 

 

Colin and Carter were apart of a Chevron Baseball Camp hosted at Minute Maid Park!

I volunteered at Colin's school to read a book to the class.

He chose this one from our home library and it was a HIT!

 

 

What an amazing woman and doctor this lady is!!! She is such a blessing in my and the girls lives...I couldn't have done any of this "pregnancy" stuff without her!

 

 

 

 



Ella Grace: {3 months old}

Ella is growing more and more everyday! She is getting so strong! Ella can hold her head up for a few minutes and likes to stand and get entertained by her Bubby and Sissy!

 

Just like Ava did, she likes to walk around and see whats going on. So naturally, she LOVES the Baby Bjorn!

 

A few days after her 3 month birthday, we tried the Bumbo Chair!

This "Proud Mommy Moment" goes into my book and is towards the top of the list. :)

On the eve of her 3 month birthday, Ella slept 6 hours straight!!! I happen to catch her smiling in her sleep! See...this is why I have my phone and camera on me at all times!

 

Happy 3rd month Birthday to my precious CHUBBY angel baby!

I tried laying her down and getting photos on her back and belly, but she WAS NOT happy about it...

so we'll try again next month.

 

Ella Grace @ 3 months old:

drinking 3 oz every 3 hours

She was still so gassy and uncomfortable on the preemie formuls so we just switched to a lactate free ans she is ALL BETTER!

weighs 9 lbs 6 oz!!!!!!

diapers: newborn

clothes: 0-3 months!

All of her newborn onesies won't go over her head. She wears mostly 0-3 month clothes. She wore her first 3 month sized dress on June 1!

 

As mentioned before, the eve before her 3 month birthday, she slept 6 straight hours. She continued that until June 6 when she slept from 9PM - 6AM!!! WHOA NELLY! Ella LOVES her sleep just like her brother, sister and DADDY! She sleeps all night, has a bottle around 6, then goes back to sleep until her next feeding around 9. After that, she'll stay awake for an hour or so after she eats. It's fun to have her awake and "playing" with us. She'll take another long nap (bottle to bottle) in the afternoon.

 

Ella enjoys being cuddled in our arms with her blankie against her cheek and her binkie nearby.

She not a fan of tummy time, but her play gym does get used daily. Ella is getting good at "hitting" the hanging toys. :)

 

I can't believe I'll be taking her 4 month pictures in 2 weeks!

 

Ella Grace: {2 months old}

 

The first 2 months of Ella's life were such a blur. Half of it was spent driving back and forth the hospital everyday, and the other half was getting used to have 3 kids. There was no more, man-to-man defense...there were now MORE of THEM then US! I think we've figured it out now...until she starts crawling, walking and running after C and A.

Ella Grace @ 2 months old:

drinking between 2 1/2 - 3 oz every 3 hours

weight??? I'm not sure how much she weighed on 4/26 but on 4/16 (7 weeks old) she weighed 6 lbs 4 oz!!!! We went to the Dr because she was a little constipated. :0/

She was out of the preemie clothes between 5-6 weeks old.

She is a great sleeper and wakes up on her own to drink her milk. She is still on the preemie formula and will be until she is 4 months old. Even though she has gas pains 2 hours after every bottle, she is a FANTASTIC newborn and we couldn't ask for anything better! God is GOOD!

I attempts to let Ella meet her family and get to hear everyone's voices,we face-timed often. :)
Mommy tired to always get some pictures of the conversations.

 

 

 

My Grandma Rose and Papa Frank were just smitten with their Great Granddaughter! I wish we lived closer so they could see the kids in person too!

 

What a blessing Smart Phones are! We were able to introduce Ella to very important people in her life and document all of it for her!
