Ella Grace: {quality time with big brother}

Colin was anxious and excited to meet his newest baby sister. He enjoyed his face time chats with her, but they were just not enough. He wanted to meet her in "real-life". As a Mom, it was so emotionally difficult to hear him say those things.

There are so many ways we try and protect and care for our children and this was the biggest challenge we've ever faced! Daily we had to explain to the kids why we were visiting Ella in the hospital and that she needs to stay there longer. Colin asked frequently, "When is Ella going to get to come home?".

Here are some of his special visits with Ms. E.

He FINALLY was able to meet her (in person) on March 9! (see more here)

Every weekend after that, we'd take Colin to the hospital for some QT with the baby.
My heart would melt just watching him stare at her and touch her face and hair. His love for her was instant and so sweet!

Colin likes taking pictures with his iTouch and he made sure not to forget it when we went to visit Sissy.

Colin is a great big brother, to both of his sisters!
Every time Ella makes a peep, he tells me, "I'll get her..." and (tries to) tends to her need.
He likes feeding her bottles and touching her cheeks. :)

Today Colin told us that soon he'd have 3 sisters...I don't know who he's talking to but there WILL NOT be 3 sisters OR 2 sisters and a brother ANY TIME soon!
