Party of 5: {baby bump, last trimester}

I never posted my weekly photos with my baby bump during my last (mini) trimester.

28 weeks

We took the kids to our 3D ultrasound appt during my 29th week of pregnancy. You can't tell from the picture below, but Ava DID enjoy it. Colin was very interested in the ultrasound and was able to see her facial features and expressions on his own. Ava wanted to lay with me in the chair and was pointing to the screen and saying "baby" over and over.

30 weeks
Little did we know, our baby girl would be here 2 weeks later!

desserts, drinks and diapers

My sweet, beautiful, and amazing life-long-friends hosted a baby sprinkle for Sweet Ella and I.
We originally planned it for March 5 but we all know how that turned out. So...we rescheduled it for a Friday night in April. We had a great time with our girls night "out".

The theme was desserts, drinks and diapers with Diana. :)

We brought Baby Ella along in her precious tutu!

The girls planned a "name that candy game" that was so funny!
Ava helped pass out the candy.

We didn't register anywhere because we have all of Colin and Ava's baby stuff.
I did, however, ask for diapers and bows!
And DIAPERS and bows I did GET! WHOA!

Nonnie bought the girls a few matching outfits and the cutest bathing suits!!!

PICTURE TIME!
My fantastic neighbors! We missed Simone and Tanya :(

Nonnie made Ella a white and pink blanket.
Ava has a pink one exactly like it.
My mom is the B.E.S.T.!

I made her take off her giant heals so we were closer to being the same height. HA!

Ava's turn for pictures.

We had a super fun evening together, just us girls, and I was so overwhelmed with the love and blessings from my family and friends!

bringing baby home

March 30, 2013 was one of the most anticipated and exciting days of our lives...
we brought Baby Ella home from her 34 day stay in the NICU.

Pete and I asked our parents to join us at the hospital to be apart of this joyous day!
We ended up following each other down Hwy 59 :)

We made Colin and Ava big brother/sister bags for some entertainment in the waiting room.
(coloring/craft pages, snacks, word search, reading books, a disposable cameras)

Before Pete and I went in to get the baby, we gave the kids their gifts.

We got the kids settled in the waiting room with their grandparents and entertainments, and off we went to back up baby!

The monitors are COMING OFF!

My precious angel is all ready to go home!

We couldn't be HAPPIER and more blessed to be walking out with our baby girl!

I walked into the waiting room with Ella in my arms and when Ava saw me, she ran to me, dropped everything from her hands and wanted to hold and hug her RIGHT then and there. It was such a sweet moment (of course I cried), and Pete got it all on video tape.

Ava didn't want to share Ella. Notice her pouty face in the next picture...we let Colin hold the baby for a little while and during a family picture...she wasn't happy.

Our first Family of Five picture!

Family photo time!!!
We were very thankful to one of the nurses for taking our pictures and being patient with us. ;)
The grandparents took some via iPhone too.

Ava wanted to be involved and see everything that Ella was doing.

Strapped in, wrapped up and ready to go home!

I have a picture of Pete with all 3 kids exactly like this one! So sweet!

All THREE of our babies!!!!!!!!

For our first stop with a car full of children...Starbucks!

Aunt Gina met us at the house and captured this precious moment for our family.
Welcome home Sweet Ella Grace!

meeting Oscar.

The rest of the day we didn't do much else...
just cherished having our baby home and our family complete.

The hospital baked us a baby cake when Ella was born so we saved it for when she came home.
Happy "birth"day to Ella!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers! God heard us all and brought our baby home healthy and happy!
