Easter Bunny 2013

Every year we pay a visit to the Easter Bunny so off we went one day after school last week.

When did my son turn into a teenager?...

Ava was super excited to see and talk to the Easter Bunny...until we got there and she saw his GIANT self!

Even watching Colin talk and play rock, paper, scissors with him didn't help.

She still was able to pick a "prize" from his basket and we convinced her to take a "cutie" picture with her Bubby!

Ava seemed comfortable after we got her "prize" but she still would only wave and blow kisses to the Bunny.

There are these crazy splat toys in a kiosk...and...no we have a duck and a strawberry...

Then we went out for dinner and ice cream.

We had a very hoppy family evening out but we were all wishing ms. ells was with us too.
She got to visit a bunny too...

One of the nurses made her a pretty bow so we had 2 photo shoots!

Houston Rodeo 2013

The rodeo this year went alittle differently than we planned...
Mommy was 11 days post delivery INSTEAD of 33 1/2 weeks pregnant!
We took things slow and, as always, had  a great time.

On the way to the stadium, we stopped by to have a special visit with Ella...Colin met her for the 1st time!!! He kept talking about how little she was and liked touching her hair and cheeks.

We face-timed Ava in the waiting room.

Onto Reliant Stadium!
We took a bus over from the parking lot, is I wasn't 11 days post surgery, we would've walked.

This s sthe first year we played games and we made out pretty good!

We had to check the animals with the stroller during the rodeo/concert. LOL!

The kids HAD to ride the ponies. I have a feeling Ava will try and convince Daddy that she needs a pony one day.

We didn't get to see all of the usual events because it was one of the final contest days. Even so, the boys love the bull riding event the best!

Ava picked out a light up, pink, fuzzy cowgirl hat and Colin picked out a cowboy rope!
The hat and rope were used for several days in a row along with our stick horses. :)

Inside the reliant arena...

Seriously...this petting zoo was out of control. Colin gets a kick out of the aggressive deer and goats every year! They ALWAYS eat Pete's clothes and climb on him! So funny!

One of the animals slimmed Colin!

Diva, anyone?!

He only wishes this was street legal...

We waited in line for our bus back to the parking lot for AN HOUR!!!! It was pure torture! Ava was the only one with energy...probably because she took an our nap on Pete's lap during the rodeo events. Colin was such a trooper...he was tired, hungry, and frustrated and was still polite and patient with the line.

As soon as we got on  the road, they passed out!

We had a great time and did a whole lot of NOTHING the next day!
