Father-Daughter Dance

Every year our church puts on a Father Daughter dance before Valentine's Day.
Pete took Ava for the first time this year, and Oh.My.Word was it the sweetest moment of her life!
She was SO EXCITED about wearing her Princess Dress and getting dressed up for her Princess Date with daddy. When I was walking her down the stairs, her dress was following behind and I had a flash foreword to her wedding and walking her down for a different prince. It was such a sweet little moment that I hope I will never forget. While getting ready, Ava kept calling Pete "Her Prince" and was showing us over and over how to dance in her Princess dress. She would hold it out and twirl around. She also put on lipstick and helped Daddy pick out his purple tie. When they were both ready to go, she started jumping up and down, saying "Yay!" and ran to the door. I barely had a minute to capture these heart melting pictures of my Princess and her Prince, Daddy!

This is one of my favorite pictures of my entire life!

They had a blast at the dance! The first event was to have a carriage ride. When Ava saw the horses she yelled and pointed to them and instantly wanted a carriage ride. She told Daddy that they are like Cinderella!

They danced the night away with Chris and his girls. The guys sent me videos and I, of course, cried!
I can not wait for the memories and special moments Pete, Ava and Ella will have in their Father-Daughter relationships! We are so BLESSED!

Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary!

Pete and I celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary on January 2.

Having a date night was way over due but we wanted more excitement than just dinner and a movie, so we went bowling!
We had a blast! Yes, this pregnant girl can still bowl...well kind of. We played two games and my scores were 63 and 91. I'd say, I'm alittle rusty!
After bowling we went to dinner at Salt Grass Steakhouse and it was yummy as usual!

Aunt Gina came over and spent the evening with the kids...boy, did they have a blast too!

2013 is going to be an exciting and VERY BUSY year for the Willetts family!

our 1st and 2nd anniversaries

Colin's 7 year check-up

May I just start by saying, Colin is going to be taller than me by the time he's 9 years old...

The check up went great, other than the fact he got a flu shot. Colin is TERRIFIED of shots! It takes all of Pete;s energy to hold him still/down when he gets a shot. I don't know what made him to scared of shots, I understand they hurt but they are always so fast. Ava, however, had no reaction at all. There was no crying, tears or even a flinch! She didn't even bleed!!!

Monkey See, Monkey Do...

Colin is healthy and growing like a weed!
His ears look good but both of his tubes have already fallen out. We are just going to wait and see if he gets more ear infections and if they affect his hearing again. So far, so good.
After the apt, we went to lunch then to a 3D ultra sound apt to see baby sister! (baby bump update coming soon!)
