Easter Eggs & a Bunny Cake

The kids always know mommy has holiday themed family-fun nights planned and Colin was itching to dye Easter eggs and make our bunny cake. :) I wanted to have a few more artsy type projects for both St. Patrick's day and Easter but i was alittle preoccupied...

I think the kids' favorite part of dying eggs is using the "magic crayons"!
We each got an egg with our names on them and a picture.
Colin and Daddy drew a house with trees on 2 eggs also! They were very impressive.
Ava had a few with scribbles her name and flowers and Colin made Ella's. Sweet boy!

Onto the Annual Bunny cake...
this year Ava was truly able to help and she wanted NOTHING more than to "do it myself"

baked with love (and LOTS of SUGAR)

The kids loving cooking with Mommy, especially when it involves cookies!
We baked Valentine's Sugar Cookies with EXTRA love and SUGAR!

They requested Pink and Red frosting.

Ava taste tested every cookie she decorated.

Colin was doing good with the sprinkles but I looked away for like a second and then there was a MOUNTAIN of them!

Not sure if these are edible or not...

A few days later, we baked some pre-cut sugar cookies.

Happy Valentine's from my sweeties to yours!

National Ice Cream Day

National Ice Cream Day is the 3rd Sunday in July, designated by Ronald Reagan in 1984!
So, naturally, the Willetts HAD to celebrate.
Ice cream and Popsicles are the way to Colin's heart!

I handed Ava the bag to HOLD and this is was she did...laughing historically at herself.

Then Colin needed a picture too!

Blue and Pink homemade ice cream, coming right up!

The bags started getting really cold.
Daddy and Colin thought it was HILARIOUS to touch Mommy on the neck and back with their ICE COLD hands...
They didn't think it was so funny when I got them back. ;)

What a delicious Sunday evening treat!

This is her first time eating a cherry! She wanted the whole jar.

See, I told you...the KEY to his happy (sweet toothed) heart!

PS: I found the ice cream bowls and spoons at Kroger for $1.99!
